New Brighton Park is sorta like the spiritual home for SPECIAL SUMMER SERIES as this is where it all began in 2010. We have done at least 2 events at this location every year since. This one has a beautifully-situated waterfront and gorgeous views of the North Shore mountains.

We have a great lineup for our final act of the season, calling upon some of our favourites. Come join us for hot mid-August afternoon beside the water. Bring a picnic, bring a blanket, bring the pooch, and prepare yourself for a special afternoon in the park.

About VUSI




Special Summer Series is a set of daytime dance parties in Vancouver's most beautiful parks. Whether you come for a picnic or to take in the music there is no better way to spend a sunny afternoon this summer. Now in our 5th year, the 2014 Series will move between the stunning New Brighton Park, iconic Stanley Park and the award winning new development at New Westminster Pier.

Hosted by VUSI, a non-profit committed to the adventurous use of city space, these events are family friends and always welcoming to anyone in attendance.

From the beginning, these events have always been put together with a singular goal: Make it Special.

Whether it is your first time or you have been coming since the days of Rooftop Special (circa 2009!), we hope to make your experience one to remember.
